Support chatbot

It already read the ticket history

Opens knowing the account, the previous conversations, and what didn't work last time.

The problem

Deflection metrics that hide a worse experience

A support bot that can't reach account history has two moves: answer from the docs, or escalate. Teams tune it toward answering, which produces confident documentation answers to problems the documentation doesn't cover.

The customer gets a wrong answer faster. The ticket is marked deflected. The customer opens another one an hour later, angrier, and the metric never shows it.

What it does

Full account context from the first message

The first reply is where a support conversation is won or lost. This is what the bot already knows before the customer has finished typing the question.

Ticket history

Every previous conversation, retrievable by question. Knows this is the fourth contact about the same integration.

What's already been tried

Failed fixes are memory. The bot doesn't suggest the thing that didn't work in March.

Product and environment

Plan, version, configuration. Questions the customer has answered before don't get asked again.

Handoff with everything attached

When it escalates, the human sees the full context rather than a transcript of the last five minutes.

Learns from resolutions

Retrieval that improves with volume

Zenmem tracks which retrieved context actually preceded a resolution and tunes what surfaces for similar issues. The bot gets better at the questions your customers actually ask, not at the questions the documentation was written for.

None of that is tuned by hand. The signal is simply whether the customer stopped asking.

FAQ

Which helpdesks does it connect to?

Can it be prevented from answering certain topics?

Yes — scope limits and refusal rules are set in the agent definition, alongside the escalation triggers.
